Interbrand 100: Apple, Google dominate global brands and Samsung is rising quickly
So, that whole internet palava is working out just fine for Apple and Google. Both companies now sit atop the Interbrand 100 – the list of the most valuable brands in the world. In fact the tech sector dominates with six of the ten largest brands in the world.
Coca Cola sits at third just pipping IBM and rubbing out any technology trifecta. And for all its troubles Microsoft is still fourth.
The other extraordinary result is that Apple, Google and Samsung all experienced at least 20 per cent growth in brand value over the last 12 months. Toyota was the only other brand in the 10 ten to record double digit increases in it brand value.
