Eventbrite appoints Rachel Neumann as managing director of Australia.

Digital events platform Eventbrite  has appointed a new Australian managing director for a business that is on track to track to exceed six million cumulative tickets processed in Australia by the end of this year.

 Australia represents about 5 per cent of Eventbrite’s global gross ticket sales. More than 100,000 Australian events were posted on Eventbrite’s platform.

The appointment of Neumann to run the operation reperesents teh confidence the company has in the local market, according Kevin Hartz, the CEO.  Neumann will be responsible for leading and building the local team and driving the local strategy

“Rachael’s understanding of Eventbrite’s vision and customer-centric approach, coupled with her deep understanding of the Australian market, will put her in good stead to drive and develop our Australian strategy,” said Kevin Hartz, co-founder and CEO of Eventbrite (pictured below).

One month ago, it announced its partnership with 99Designs, via the Switfly service, who’s goal is to connect event organisers with graphic designers, so they can source professional and unique banner designs for their event pages.
